Youth for a Livable Cebu

This was my thesis work on my fourth year in college as an Advertising Arts major. I opted to come up with an advocacy campaign for a youth group because my design style caters more to the yuppies. I concentrated on this aspect since it is where I know I'm strong at.

I chose Youth for a Livable Cebu (YLC) as the subject for my advocacy campaign because I have seen that they have launched projects that had a great impact not only to the Cebuano youth but to Cebu in general. However, only a handful are aware of it and I thought they were worth the campaign.

Luckily, one of the group's leaders was a friend of mine, Francis Sollano. He was kind enough to meet up with me and talk me through all of YLC's projects and activities. Our simple coffee shop meeting got me extra inspired to do something that the group could hopefully benefit from in the future.

And so, here I am, presenting to you what I did. Enjoy! :)
Main creative handle: "It takes a youth to build a city."
The whole point of the campaign was to awaken the youth that they are, as cliche as it sounds, the future. Through they're smart perspective towards a Livable city, they can make a difference.
The Hand.
I highlighted their hands since the hands are known to be one of the busiest parts of our body. Although the rest of our body parts have their respective important uses, I chose to emphasize the hands because we use them to build something. Our hands have the ability to put into action all of the things that our mind visualizes.

Our hands give us the power to create.

I gathered a few of my friends who were considered leaders in their perspective fields. I carefully handpicked them through their ability to empower and influence their community. I asked them their thoughts on what they imagined of a Livable city and these were their ideas.
